What’s the difference between Ceremonial vs Culinary matcha?
Really the main difference between these two types of matcha is in how they are intended to be used.
Ceremonial grade matcha is intended to be consumed on its own or as matcha latte while culinary grade matcha is designed to be added to baked goods, smoothies, and more.
Is it safe to consume matcha during pregnancy?
The answer is YES, but as with all caffeinated drinks and food, you need to be mindful and be careful not to go overboard. The general recommendation for pregnant women is not to consume more than 200 mg of caffeine a day. We need to understand that the caffeine in coffee (that is acid for your stomach) and matcha caffeine (that is alkaline) are not the same.
